Liquor store exit path and anti-bottleneck layout for owners
Checkout only works if guests can leave. A clear exit path after bagging protects rush-hour speed — impulse dumps and door congestion make a remodel feel unfinished.
Owner design priorities
- 1. Straight line after bagging — paid guests do not re-enter the queue spine.
- 2. Door swing and vestibule space — cases and carts clear the exit without collisions.
- 3. Impulse without blockage — last-chance displays stay out of the walking lane.
- 4. Separate entry and exit when possible — reduces head-on traffic at peak.
- 5. ADA clear width to the street — path stays usable with bags and mobility devices.
- 6. Camera and staff sightlines — exit stays visible without harsh security clutter.
